Frank M. Roby, Chairman

Frank Roby is Chairman of Concero Global, an investment and advisory firm active with emerging companies in healthcare, education and social enterprise. 

+ Background

Through Concero Global, Mr. Roby co-founded Averify, a healthcare data analytics company where he serves as Chief Executive Officer. His firm is also an investor in revelationMD, a physician collaborative technology company, where he serves as a member of the board of directors (formerly, he served as CEO for 2 years during its development). He is an active advisor to several innovative companies emerging within healthcare and education with management expertise in healthcare network delivery systems, risk finance and human capital development.

From 2010- 2012 Mr. Roby was also the CEO for Empower African Children, an NGO providing advanced experiential learning opportunities to orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, East Africa.

From 1991 through 2008, Mr. Roby worked for Holmes Murphy and Associates, Inc. where he advanced to Chief Executive Officer for the Texas region and became an owner and member of the Board of Directors of the holding company. His healthcare and benefits expertise is applied to the management of rapid growth companies and the development of leadership talent. During his leadership tenure, Holmes Murphy grew its benefits practice by an average compound organic growth rate exceeding 30% per year for 17 years.

+ Community

Currently, Mr. Roby serves on the Executive Board of the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU, the national board of the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy in Washington, and the board of St. Stephens Hospital in Delhi, India. He is a member of HealthTech Wildcatters, the Dallas Assembly and the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations.

Previously, Mr. Roby lead numerous not-for-profit organizations, including the North Texas Food Bank where he served as Board Chairman; the DFW World Affairs Council where he served as Vice Chairman; and the Dallas Regional Chamber where he served on the Executive Committee of the Board and Chaired the International Business Council and the Education Committee. He has served on the board of over a dozen other organizations over his years in business and service.

He has led or participated in dozens of trade and/or social missions to India, China, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal, Israel and West Bank (Palestinian Territories). These experiences along with hosting delegations from over 20 countries have shaped Mr. Roby and his approach to business and life. It is through the combination of these experiences that he developed his personal approach to human development.

+ Personal

Along with his wife of 42 years, Rev. Linda Roby, and their three children and ten grandchildren, Mr. Roby enjoys outdoor activities with family as well as fly fishing and hiking. His natural curiosity engages him with people from diverse life experiences. A lifelong United Methodist, Mr. Roby serves the church in multiple ways as called upon. Mentoring, connecting people of common interest and reading all contribute to his desire to be a lifelong learner.
